Yup, its that time again!

If you need a dress and want a bargain, this event is for you. If you're traveling this summer, you may want to add Boston to your list since that's the biggest sale. Bring some bridesmaids along and have fun!

Honeymoon packing tip #11 - Double your shoe wardrobe with Zuzatz

You know how shoes take up so much room on your luggage? Here's a great solution to lighten your honeymoon load without sacrificing your fashion sense... Zuzatz are a black platform sole (great for adding some height) with various interchangeable straps (or uppers)!

The straps click into the base holes with a high-tech QuickClick technology and voila, you've got a brand new look. Definitely read the instructions carefully because it does take some practice to master the fasten. And, if you wear them on the beach like I did, be sure to carefully wash out all the sand before installing a new strap! Click here for a demo.

I took them on my recent trip to Anguilla and St. Martin.

Here they are on the plane (I like that the platform keeps my feet inches away from the bathroom floors...)
And on the ferry to Anguilla:

And on a day of sightseeing:
These are great for traveling since they easily go from day to night - dressed down like a flip flop or dressed up with some bling. Best of all, they are super comfortable. They'd be a great gift for the bride-to-be or your bridesmaids.

No More Wire Hangers: The Must Have Accessory for Every Wedding Gown!

So you've got the gown of your dreams and you've run through the getting ready photo list with your photographer, right? Here's a little tip that you might not have thought of...make sure your wedding gown has a pretty hanger to accompany it in all those wedding dress photos!

This was actually my mom's idea after she hated all of my sister's wedding dress photos that featured an ugly plastic hanger. So, I got a padded hanger at the Container Store and some decorations from Michaels and voila, my mom whipped up this fancy, shmancy hanger:

Does your dress already have a fancy hanger?

Groom's Week: Target Practice - A Nightlight for Guys

Here's a groovy gadget for grooms that brides will benefit from too. Whether you're already living together or will be after the upcoming wedding, one of the irksome things about guys is when they leave the seat up (add groan here...). Even the most well mannered gents will be guilty of this from time to time so here's your chance to be prepared.

The Johnny Light is a night light for your toilet bowl that lights up when he leaves the seat up! No more falling in for you and no more misguided pee pee for him. Genius I say! The Globetrotting Groom says any gadget with LEDs and batteries will be a sure hit with men. Just watch this video for details.

Get one for your groom as an "I can't wait to live with you" present and spare yourself the "seat-up vs. seat down" controversy before it starts. Its also a fun bachelor or bachelorette party gag gift. Next up, getting him to put a new roll of toilet paper in after he uses it all up.....

Tuesday giveaway! Aruba, Jamaica ooh I wanna take ya. To Bermuda, Bahama come on pretty mama.

What's the next best thing to a spa treatment on a tropical beach getaway? Pevonia Botanica's Tropicale De-Aging products!

For the last few weeks, I've been slathering myself (and my ever growing belly) with their Mango-Passion Fruit line and I can't tell you how yummy I've been smelling. Even the Globetrotting Groom has noticed my soft skin.

Aside from smelling great, the body balm is rich, creamy and moisturizing but totally not sticky or greasy. The saltmousse scrub works great to polish away dead skin and the mist is so deliciously moisturizing.
Best of all, the natural, organic products are formulated with Shea Butter, Collagen, Elastin, Pomegranate and other anti-aging tropical fruit extracts. So maybe I'm even starting to look a little younger! And they care too - Pevonia products are eco-packaged (recyclable/biodegradable), non-comedogenic and cruelty-free (no testing on animals).

All brides need soft skin. Wanna try it? Thanks to the kind people at Pevonia Botanica, I'm giving away a Tropicale Papaya-Pineapple Gift Set valued at $80!

The Dream Bank is the perfect way to save up for that special treat. Insert a photo of your desired object in the back of the box and start tossing your spare change into the slot each day.

Wedding planning tip for the organized bride....

You meet so many people when you're wedding planning wouldn't it be great if you could hand out your contact details with something more personal than your business cards?

Here's a great idea....

Make some teeny tiny MOO mini cards! I just made a batch and they have been getting rave reviews. The photo quality is great and so is the paper stock. See how cute and tiny they are?!?!

Each box contains of 100 mini cards and the best part is that each card can feature a different photo. I think it would be so fun to upload all your engagement pics and print your contact details on the back.

Of course there are zillions of other ways to incorporate MOO mini cards into your wedding like place cards, gift tags, save the dates, etc. And be sure to check out MOO for other cool products like holiday cards, post cards, greeting cards and business cards.

Tips from the Pros: Celebrity Facialist Tammy Fender

Clear, radiant skin might just be one of the most important accessories for the big day (second to the groom and dress, of course!). Unfortunately pre-wedding stress, diet, and irregular sleep can all have an effect on your skin.

Palm Beach celebrity aesthetician Tammy Fender believes in the healing properties of holistic skincare, but her advice goes beyond the physical; a glowing complexion begins on the inside. Here are some of Tammy’s best tips to look your best, naturally, just in time for the ceremony.

Change up your diet. “Treat the skin as a living organ, recognizing that what you put onto the skin absorbs.” Incorporate fresh fruit and healthy vegetables into your daily diet, and “eat foods that are high in Essential Fatty Acids; they’re necessary to keep the skin supple. Oils from the olive, almonds, wheat germ and flax will play a part in caring for the skin from the inside.”

Exercise daily. Doing so increases circulation and releases endorphins, bringing oxygen to the cells, rejuvenating the skin, and leaving a heightened feeling of peace and joy.

Transition to a natural skincare regimen. “Nourish the body from the outside via the skin, with the same purity and care that you would take internally.” Holistic products with botanical ingredients will feed and nourish the skin cells, neutralize free radicals, and slow down the aging process—naturally. See below for the perfect natural products to build a solid regimen.

Book a facial. The weeks leading up to the ceremony are filled with fittings, appointments, phone calls, last-minute decisions—in other words…stress. “A complete hour of relaxation is best not only for the face but also for the body and mind. Take time out to de-stress—even if it’s at home with your own holistic skincare products.” Keep things simple the day before the wedding; a last-minute facial may cause breakout and irritation, so make an appointment at least a week before the big day.

Some of Tammy’s must-have pre-wedding products include:

A gentle, natural exfoliator like the Epi-Peel. Tammy’s three-in-one exofliator, mask, and peel removes the accumulation of dead surface cells, refines pores, and polishes skin revealing a fresh, youthful glow. A blend of Spearmint, Lavender, Rosemary, Kaolin Clay, and micro-granuales stimulate the flow of chi and enlivens the spirit.

An eye treatment, like the Firming Eye Gel. Eliminate puffiness, dark circles, and advancing lines before the big day with the powerful healing properties of elder flower and green myrtle that will cool, quench, and revive tired eyes.

A hydrating natural moisturizer like Antioxidant Crème with Orange and Neroli. Citrus combined with neroli feeds and nourishes the skin, helping to rebuild each skin cell and stimulating the production of natural collagen. This balancing moisturizer also contains a natural SPF 10 through a blend of plant butters.

And post-wedding?

Great on-the-go skincare. Keep skin in a state of bliss by taking the Tammy Fender Travel Kit (photo above) along on your honeymoon. Customizable to fit your skincare needs, the kit includes travel-size versions of Tammy’s stellar products. Everything stays suitcase-safe in a jewel box case with travel pouch.

Fun and flirty party dress or wedding gown. You decide.

I know the Sara Seven frocks have been making the bridal blog rounds but there is one dress that really catches my eye. There is just something so fun and flirty about this Powdered Sugar Dress.

This sweet confection is made of white sparkle organza with silver beading at the waist. Considering its a custom order, I think the $375 price tag is a real steal. It's perfect for a rehearsal dinner, beach wedding or wedding reception dress. And wouldn't those blue Christian Louboutin Glittered Platform Pumps look great with it??!?!

Still looking for that "Something Blue?"

How about these Christian Louboutin Glittered Platform Pumps found via P.S. love this!?!?!

Definitely not for the timid bride but I think this Carrie Bradshaw meets Dorothy look could be amazing with a modern wedding gown. And, you could definitely wear them again...

Mark your wedding date with this personalized necklace

Remember my post on personalized calendar charm gifts? Here's another option that would make a great present for any bride-to-be. I think it would also make an awesome anniversary or birthday gift...

Dalla Nonna Jewelry's signature piece, the calendar necklace comes in gold (rose, yellow or white) or silver with a brushed or shiny finish. You mark your special day with your choice of sapphire (pink, blue, green, purple, red or yellow).

Aren't they drool-worthy????

Do you have the most perfect wedding shoes?

If you love shoes as much as I do, you'll want to keep you perfect wedding shoes looking perfect right until the big day.

From dress maker fittings, dance lessons and celebratory parties, brides-to-be do a lot of shoe schlepping. I've found the perfect solution to let your shoes travel in style....no more plastic grocery bags, scuff marks or dirty clothing when you use....a Shubi bag!

Shubi bags are the most beautiful shoe bags I've ever seen! They come in two styles (one piece or two for those who don't like their shoes to touch), are made of top-quality cotton (super durable), are fully lined in complementary-colored fabric and close with single drawstrings made of grosgrain ribbon.

Best of all, they can also be used for toting toiletries, hair dryers and straighteners, handbags, wine and even a laptop!

There are dozens of fabrics to choose from. Check out these great designs:
I think they'd be a fantastic present for any bride-to-be and a great gift idea for your bridesmaids.

Is your wedding veil boring? Try one of these...

Melissa mentioned polka dot veils after my post on the Melissa Sweet polka dot wedding gown and it got me thinking....

If you're having a simple wedding gown, a polka dot veil could be just the thing to add a festive touch.

How about this
French Lace Polka Dot Veil with rounded corners and beaded organza flowers?

Here's a more "traditional" version from HoneycombVeils on Etsy.

And the oh so popular birdcage veils always look so fun! Former Weddingbee
Kasia Fink started making custom birdcage veils after her wedding and I think they have just the right touch of vintage and modern, sassy and sweet for any bride. And for just $50, you can't go wrong.
